Topic: TWIN SISTERS OF DIFFERENT MOTHERS -
How our relationships with women have affected our lives.

Overview excerpt:
Women's relationships with other women have been the mainstay of our lives
and sometimes the bane of our existence! We learn the most about ourselves
through other women and yet, we tend to struggle with the knowledge we
attain. We compare and contrast our realities against theirs, seek them for
comfort and guidance, observe them for societal roles, and join them in both
happiness and misery, all the while sharing the delicate details of our
everyday monotony.

If we could stretch our memories back to thousands of years ago, we'd see
that we would congregate, away from the men, deciding the fate of our tribes,
at times planning to relocate in preparation for a storm, or banning together
with neighbors to fight mutual enemies. We were the healers of our com-
munity, relying on traditions and nature to heal our bodies, and our communal
structures to govern our members. We trusted our intuitions and we shared
our wisdom to the betterment of everyone we nurtured.

As we explore the importance that friendships lend to our lives
today, we must acknowledge that the answer lies in the search
for answers. The eternal awareness-building of who we are and
who we strive to become. Perhaps there's a voice inside of us,
remembering what it was like to be a part of something so much
more special than how we honor ourselves and other women today.
This voice whispers to us, urging us to seek the support and wisdom
of other women, learning from them as we learn more about ourselves.
